Heimsoth named next cheer program head

SIOUX CITY, IOWA – Maci Heimsoth has been named the next coach of the Morningside cheerleading program.  Most recently she led the cheer program at the Siouxland Gymnastics Academy.

Heimsoth, a 2018 Morningside graduate, was part of the 2017 GPAC Championship squad.  She is Morningside's third coach for the sport since competitive cheer was introduced at the NAIA level.

"Having already experienced what Morningside is about as a student-athlete, I was thrilled to know that I would be in a familiar place doing something that I am passionate about," explained Heimsoth.

"My goal for the program is to build a strong foundation on trust and commitment.  I hope to maintain equity and consistency within our team and create lasting relationships."
