Bio
The 1960 Morningside baseball team captured its first of the school’s four North Central Conference league championships by defeating North Dakota in a title contest. Under the leadership of long-time skipper Don Protexter, the Maroons charted a 15-6 overall record, and unblemished 6-0 mark in NCC play. The team was led by infielder Dave Mulder, pitcher Ken Stripling, and catcher Jim Anfinson, who were all named to the All-NCC team. The 1960 season was capped off with an appearance in the NAIA World Series.
