Bio
A graduate from the Class of 1922, Axel Beck was a standout offensive guard for the Morningside football team, coached by Jason Saunderson. He was described in the 1921 Sioux yearbook as follows: “Axel was a tower of strength in the line; always noted for his fight, and pep. Many times he would get by his man, then go on through, and spoil plays for the other team.”
