Bio
Lyle “Dutch” Bryan, a native of Onawa, Iowa, played on two North Central Conference championship teams for the Maroons, in 1954, and his senior season of 1956. Bryan was one of five Morningside players to receive All-North Central Conference honors in 1956 as the Maroons compiled a 6-1-1 overall record, and 4-1-1 mark in NCC play. He was named to the Together magazine’s All-American third team. Bryan taught, and coached for many years in Centerville (S.D.), then in Iowa at Early, Paullina, and Sioux City East.
