Bio
One of the most explosive performers in Morningside women’s basketball history, Sioux City native Brittany Carper teamed with Megan (Cloud) Ganz to lead the Mustangs to back-to-back NAIA National Championships in 2004, and 2005. During a magical season of 2004, Carper averaged 21.5 points per game, 5.8 rebounds, 7.2 assists, and 4.0 steals as Morningside captured the title with an 87-74 conquest of Cedarville University, and an overall 34-4 record. She was named the NAIA Division II Player of the Year, first team All-American, and GPAC Player of the Year.
A year later, Carper averaged 14.7 points per game as the Mustangs went 35-3, and repeated as national champion, again beating Cedarville in the finals. She was a second-team NAIA All-American in 2005. Carper finished her career with 2,183 points, good for fourth place on the all-time scoring chart, and is Morningside’s career leader in free throws made (542), and assists (734).
She served as head women’s coach at Aurora University for five seasons, and was an assistant at Quincy University, and Carthage College.
