Bio
Taylor Chapman, 2013, was a standout distance runner for the Mustangs, collecting all-conference honors from the Great Plains Athletic Conference in, between cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track, 14 events. He was a GPAC champion on the oval on four occasions, earning an individual title in the indoor mile and three championship designations as part of 4x800-meter relay teams.
It was as part of a 4x800-meter relay squad that Chapman and his teammates placed themselves at the top of the podium for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, collecting the national title in the indoor 4x800 in 2012 before defending the title in 2013 and going on to add a third honor in the 2013 outdoor season. Along with the national titles, his crew earned NAIA All-America honors for each of the three races.
At the time of his induction, Chapman still held the Morningside University record for the 1,500-meter run and is part of the relay team that held both the indoor and outdoor 4x800-meter relay records.
