Bio
Dennis Christensen was a key performer on Morningside’s successful wrestling teams of the late 1960’s under coach Arnie Brandt. A three-time NAIA national tournament qualifier at 167, and 177 pounds, Christensen was the national runner-up in 1968 at the 177-pound weight class. He also qualified for the NCAA small college championships. A three-year letterwinner, Christensen had 62 career victories, and was part of the 1968 squad that defeated Westmar 21-10 to snap the Eagles’ 52 dual match winning streak, a NAIA record at the time. He was also a two-year letterwinner on the football team, playing multiple positions.
