Bio

One of a select number of Morningside athletes to earn All-North Central Conference honors three times, Mark Gambaiana played on the men’s golf team from 1978-81. He earned All-NCC honors in 1978, 1979, and 1981 by finishing in the top five of the medalist standings in the conference tournament. The Maroons finished runner-up in the NCC race in 1980, and third in 1981, paced by Gambaiana’s 54-hole total of 222. In addition, Gambaiana qualified for the NAIA National Golf Championships in Huntsville, TX in 1981 by winning medalist honors at the District 15 Tournament.

He formerly held the school record for 18 holes with a 66 set in 1980. Gambaiana later served in a variety of roles of Morningside from 1985-98, including sports information director, assistant public relations director, alumni director, and major gifts officer.
