Bio
A member of Morningside’s football, and track squads, Herb Gottlob excelled in the offensive line, and the weight events, respectively. Gottlob captured a North Central Conference title in the discus in 1933 with a heave of 135 feet, 8 inches. He set school records in the shot put in 1929 (41 feet), and discus in 1930 (141 feet), records that stood for many years.
