Bio
One of the top golfers in the Siouxland region for decades, Gene Hagen is one of just four Morningside linksters to capture the North Central Conference medalist honors by firing a 27-hole score of 108 in 1957. Hagen was a fixture in local amateur golf circles by capturing five Rivercade championships, five Interstate championships, and four Sioux City titles.
Hagen also qualified for the 1990 USGA Senior Amateur, and captured the 1989 Iowa Senior Amateur title. A long-time Security National Bank employee for 37 years, he served as President, and CEO for 13 years, and was a member of the Morningside Board of Directors.
