Bio
A Linn Grove, Iowa, native, Robert “Bob” Hanson played football at Morningside under NFL Hall of Famer George Allen. While on the gridiron, Hanson was given the nickname “Rock” which stayed with him throughout his adult life.
Hanson also served in the U.S. Army in Korea. After graduation, he taught, and coached in Plainview, Neb., and Sac City, Iowa. In 1958, he was hired as a sales agent for New York Life Insurance Co., where he served in that capacity for nearly 50 years.
