Bio
An iconic figure on the Siouxland sports scene for decades, Dwight Hauff was a two-sport athlete at Morningside, competing in baseball, and basketball, where he earned All-North Central Conference honors in 1926.
Following graduation, Hauff taught, and coached in his hometown of Merrill, Iowa for three years before he went to work as a salesman for A.G. Spaulding in Sioux City. He acquired the business in 1933, and changed the name to Hauff Sporting Goods, which he operated for more than 75 years. Hauff passed away in 2009 at the age of 104.
