Bio
A versatile frontcourt performer who came to Morningside from Omaha, Lerlean Johnson was a four-year starter for coach Bud Brockman’s Lady Maroons from 1980-84. Over her career, Johnson scored 1,288 points, and grabbed 865 rebounds, helping Morningside capture three of Io-Kota Conference titles with an overall team record of 59-38 over that span. She was named the team’s most valuable player in 1984, as well as All-NAIA District 15, and Io-Kota All-Conference honors as the team compiled a 16-9 record.
