Bio

A 6-5 power forward from Silvis, Illinois, Doug Marx played in 105 games for the Maroons from 1973-77, and was a four-year starter. Marx played on the 1975 squad that finished 17-12 on the season, captured the District 15 title, and qualified for the NAIA National Tournament in Kansas City, where they fell 57-54 to Wisconsin-Parkside.

One of the first recruits inked by coach Dan Callahan, Marx helped engineer a two-year turnaround from a winless season to a national tournament team. He scored 1,098 points in his Morningside career for a 10.5 per game scoring average. He has been a financial services professional for many years.
