Bio
Another long-time, and prominent coach, and teacher, Mark McLarnan served high schools in Orange City, Red Oak, Jefferson, and Clinton before settling in for 29 seasons at Sioux City Central. He coached football, basketball, and track, and claimed back-to-back state track, and field championships with Central in 1966, and 1967. The 1931 Morningside graduate served seven seasons on the Board of Control for the Iowa High School Athletic Association, and worked many seasons as a high school, and college official for football, and basketball, including Big Eight, and Missouri Valley Conference tilts. McLarnan lettered three seasons in football, and led the Maroons to a 7-2 overall record during his senior season of 1930.
