Bio

Sioux City East High product Dwaine “Buck” Miller quarterbacked Morningside to a North Central Conference championship during the 1954 season, his senior year. The NCC title was one of only three conference football championships in Morningside’s 78-year association with the league. Miller was named Little All-American, All-Conference, and NCC Most Valuable Player during that memorable year as the Maroons compiled a 5-1 conference record. He completed 46 of 90 passes for 717 yards, and nine touchdowns during that memorable campaign.

Miller later helped establish, and operate Miller Bros. Furniture, and Ruth’s Mexican Restaurant in Sioux City.
