Bio
Harold “Hal” Poppen held numerous leadership roles on campus during his Morningside student days (1957-60). He served as vice-president of the senior class, and was active in Circle K, and student council organizations. A native of Alton, Iowa, Poppen played on the 1960 Morningside baseball squad that captured the North Central Conference championship with a 15-6 overall record, and 6-0 mark in the league. As an alumnus, Poppen served as president of the Alumni Association. Harold, and his brother, Don, a 1957 alumnus, are one of only two brother-brother combinations in the M-Club Hall of Fame.
