Bio
One of the top softball players in school history, Mindi (Prince) Sauer compiled a spectacular four-year career with Morningside, being cited twice as a first-team NCAA Division II All-American, and named to the second team once. The slugger notched a career batting average of.404 over 205 games with 258 hits from 638 at-bats, including 43 doubles, 14 triples, 37 home runs, and 183 RBIs. Prince was a three-time All-NCC pick (1995-97), and helped Morningside qualify for the NCAA Regional Tournament in 1994, and 1995. She was selected as the NCC’s Player of the Week four times in her career. In 1996, she ranked 16th in Division II with a.481 batting average, and third in home runs (14). At the time of her graduation, Prince held virtually all of Morningside’s single season, and career batting school records.
