Willers named baseball NAIA preseason All-American
KANSAS CITY, MO. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics announced its 17-member preseason All-America team today, naming Morningside’s Jayson Willers to the squad. Willers was one of two catchers named to the team.

Willers, who hails from Davenport, Iowa, played in all 55 of the Mustangs' games last season, hitting .388 for 80 hits, 26 runs, and 62 RBIs in 206 at bats.
The junior had a .992 fielding percentage, recording 320 putouts in 359 total chances. He allowed 25 stolen bases while catching 21 runners in the act.
Willers ended last season as a second team All-American, following a first team all-conference nod from the Great Plains Athletic Conference.
The Mustangs open the season on February 17 in Joplin, Mo.
