"The team has handled a lot of the changes very well," remarked coach Dakota Van Hauen. "Mistakes will always happen, but our team is very resilient when it comes to mistakes. We have very outspoken and uplifting leaders on our team, and they help out those that are beating themselves up when we do make a mistake.
Morningside's score of 64.03 placed them in the middle of the pack, behind Midland with an 87.67 and Northwestern with a 77.17.
"We will make more changes and adjustments this week, and keep pushing forward for next week."
The aforementioned NAIA qualifier and GPAC Championships will take place Friday and Saturday, February 25 and 26, at Doane University.
