Cheer lands on top in season opener
SEWARD, NEB. – Competitive cheer kicked off its season today as Morningside traveled to Concordia University. The Mustangs, delayed a day by the weather, started the season on a high note, beating the Bulldogs in the dual, 83.1-77.2.

Morningside's cheer team sought to prove that it was better than its preseason ranking in the inaugural Great Plains Athletic Conference poll, where the Mustangs were picked to finish seventh. And prove they were better the Mustangs did, defeating second-ranked Concordia.
Morningside is back in action on February 11, returning to Seward for Concordia's Day of Duals invitational.
