Cheer posts strong performances at GPAC Championship
CRETE, NEB. – Morningside cheer competed in the Great Plains Athletic Conference Cheer Championship, today, and while the Mustangs laid down a pair of high-energy routines, their scores placed them seventh among the GPAC rankings with a combined score of 78.71.
CRETE, NEB. – Morningside cheer competed in the Great Plains Athletic Conference Cheer Championship, today, and while the Mustangs laid down a pair of high-energy routines, their scores placed them seventh among the GPAC rankings with a combined score of 78.71.
Morningside was the sixth performance of the day in the preliminary round, where the Mustangs placed sixth, scoring 79.38 points. The preliminary round score accounts for 25 percent of the team's total score.
It was a quick turnaround for the Mustangs as they performed second in the final round, laying down another high-energy performance in its second trip to the mat, but scoring a 76.70.
