Mustangs hit pair of 83-point routines at GPAC Championship
SEWARD, NEB. – Morningside's cheer team hit a pair of routines that set new season-best scores, posting an 83.57 in prelims and an 83.95 in the final round of the Great Plains Athletic Conference Competitive Cheer Championship, resulting in a total score of 83.85 to place third.

SEWARD, NEB. – Morningside's cheer team hit a pair of routines that set new season-best scores, posting an 83.57 in prelims and an 83.95 in the final round of the Great Plains Athletic Conference Competitive Cheer Championship, resulting in a total score of 83.85 to place third.
The Mustangs sat comfortably in third after the prelims, trailing Midland, who led the league at the time, by less than five points. Northwestern took the top spot by the time the event scores were announced, with Morningside trailing by less than six points.
Cheer, like Dance, will wait for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics National Championship selection show, as league officials weigh season portfolios to select at-large teams.
