Seven Mustangs receive GPAC cheer & dance honors

SIOUX CITY, IOWA – The Great Plains Athletic Conference announced its 2022 cheer and dance honors.  Morningside had four honorees on the all-conference teams, with an additional three athletes receiving honorable mention nods.

Student-athletes wishing to receive all-conference honors are judged on a set of skills, as outlined in the NAIA coaches' handbook.

Sage Sheppard, a sophomore from Colorado Springs, Colo., was the lone Mustang tapped for cheer honors.

Morningside dance was represented on the all-conference team by junior Madison Mahr and sophomores Samantha Snyder, and Jocelyn Hendrix.  Riley Dohren, Payton Leavitt, and Emily Duffek all received honorable mention recognition.
