Bade leads Mside in spring finale
A clash with National Associate of Collegiate eSports' Division I program University of Central Oklahoma wrapped up the 2019-20 campaign for head coach Dean Stevens' Morningside College Mustangs Tuesday, May 5.
Senior Dylan Bade nearly enabled the Maroon to force a third and deciding contest against the Bronchos. According to Stevens, he delivered some key kills to aid in moving the payload forward as Genji in the Junkertown escort map. UCO turned away the attempt at evening the match-up by reaching the finish point in four minutes and 35 seconds. Morningside's Overwatch team, turning in its top spring Junkertown effort, wound up just short of the second checkpoint.
"We opened (the night) with the Illios control map set-up," Stevens said. "There were chances for us to gain the control point due to a clever fade. However, (UCO) defended well to take the overall map tally, as we lost hold."
