Special tournament scheduled by Esports program
Morningside College's Esports program is hosting a three-night Super Smash Bros. event over the months of September through November.
This is for Morningside students only. The program offers a variety of team-based games but doesn't have a small dedicated group of 'Smash' players. They've decided that the best way to do this is by having an open tournament.
The event costs $10 per student which goes towards food and drink along with prizes which include custom controllers, headphones, and more. There will be potential opportunities to gain a slot on the 2020-21 Morningside College Esports team, too.
The tentative schedule is Sept. 26; Oct. 17; and Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. each evening. The nexus in Roadman Hall is the venue. For more information, contact head coach Jared Amundson at amundsonj@morningside.edu.
