Walls takes weekly GPAC honor

SIOUX CITY, IOWA – The Great Plains Athletic Conference announced its week 3 football players of the week, presented by Hauff Mid-America Sports. Receiving the honor for defensive play this week was Morningside's Dijion Walls. 

Walls, a junior defensive back from Hazelwood, Mo., recorded a game-high nine solo tackles in Saturday's contest with Briar Cliff. He also had four pass breakups and an interception, which was returned 27 yards for a touchdown.

The Mustangs are back in action on Saturday, October 1, traveling to Midland University.
