Carter's first honor of the year comes following a game in which he scored 13 points for the Mustangs, including seven extra points in as many attempts and a pair of field goals.
Cole's title follows a 216-yard, four score game. The sophomore carried the ball 30 times in the contest.
Morningside continues into the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Football Championship Series, hosting Arizona Christian on Saturday with a noon kickoff.
