SIOUX CITY, Iowa – For the second straight week, Isaac Pingel is the GPAC Defensive Player of the Week after his strong performance at Doane on Saturday.
In Morningside's 38-7 win over the Tigers, Pingel led the team with 12 total tackles, six of which were solo. The linebacker from Spencer, Iowa also caused havoc in the backfield by getting two sacks and five tackles for loss. The Mustang defense held their opponent under 10 points for the first time this season in the win.
Pingel and the Morningside defense will look to keep momentum rolling into Saturday's homecoming game against Concordia. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at Elwood Olsen Stadium.
