Sellon Named GPAC, NAIA Offensive Player of the Week
SIOUX CITY, IOWA – A record-setting weekend for Morningside Football has earned Drew Sellon the team's first Great Plains Athletic Conference player of the week honor. The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics added on to the week's accolades, naming Sellon the national player of the week.
SIOUX CITY, IOWA – A record-setting weekend for Morningside Football has earned Drew Sellon the team's first Great Plains Athletic Conference player of the week honor. The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics added on to the week's accolades, naming Sellon the national player of the week.
Sellon, a sophomore wide receiver from Fremont, Neb., had 18 receptions for 201 yards, reaching the end zone twice. His 18 catches set a program single-game record, besting the old mark of 16 receptions by Gary Pettit in 1968.
The Mustangs head to Midland this week, kicking off at 1 p.m. in Fremont.
