Offensive explosion pushes Mustangs past the century mark
MADISON, S.D. – Morningside eclipsed the 100-point mark for the first time this season as it defeated Dakota State’s Trojans in men’s basketball yesterday, 102-76. The Mustangs had 10 players score in the contest, including three in double digits.

While the game was well in hand for Morningside, it wasn't until about 10 minutes had elapsed in the first half that the Mustangs began to build a lead, pulling ahead to a 54-37 lead at halftime.
Morningside was led in scoring by Eli Doble, who knocked down 10-of-14 shots from the floor and 6-of-8 from the free throw line for 26 points. Joey Skoff followed with 19, and Aidan Vanderloo had 17 coming off the bench.
Skoff led the team in rebounds, grabbing six in the contest. Doble followed with five, and Will Pottebaum had four.
The Mustangs, now 11-3, are quiet until January 7 when they travel to Midland University for a 3:45 p.m. contest.
