Morningside shot a blistering 61.1 percent, just shy of the season high 64.7 percent that it shot at Briar Cliff earlier this season, in the contest in which 14 players saw time on the floor. The Mustangs hit a season-high 15 three-pointers, going 15-of-27 from three-point land.
Trey Powers, Jack Dotzler, and Aidan Vanderloo led all scorers, with 14 points each. Ely Doble followed for the Mustangs, with 11 points, while Joey Skoff and Dylan Johnson had 9 apiece. Dotzler had seven assists in the contest, and Doble had five.
Doble had a game-high seven rebounds, followed by Vanderloo and Brendan Buckley, with four each. Dotzler, Skoff, and Caleb Dreckman all followed with three.
Morningside looks to avenge its second conference loss on Wednesday, as the Northwestern Red Raiders visit the Rosen Verdoorn Sports Center in a contest scheduled for 7:45 p.m.
