The Mustangs (1-2) led 35-27 at halftime before the Foresters erupted for 59 second-half points, shooting nearly 69 percent from the floor after the break. Huntington hit 11 three-pointers in the game, including eight in the second half, to overcome Morningside's strong start.
Alex Wilcoxson led the Mustangs with 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting and 4-of-6 from beyond the arc. Daniel Brocaille added 18 points and six rebounds, while Kaden Van Regenmorter scored 14 points and grabbed four boards. Fitzy Grant notched a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, and Tyson Odvody contributed nine points off the bench.
Morningside shot 48.4 percent overall and outrebounded the Foresters 37-33 but managed just seven three-pointers in 25 attempts. The Mustangs' 11 turnovers matched Huntington's total, though the Foresters held a 12-8 edge in second-chance points.
