Mustangs Come Up Short in GPAC Opener
FREMONT, Neb. – Morningside’s men’s basketball team got its first look at conference play today, as the Mustangs traveled to Fremont to take on the Midland Warriors. Morningside played Midland to a tie in the first half, but it was the Warriors that emerged victorious, 92-82.

The Mustangs' scoring was truly a team effort, as four of Morningside's starting five reached double digits. Daniel Brocaille and Caleb Dreckman each had 16 points, Alex Wilcoxson had 15, and Kaden Van Regenmorter had 13.
Dreckman led Morningside on the boards with nine rebounds. Wilcoxson had eight assists.
The Mustangs are on the road again on Wednesday, as they head to Dakota Wesleyan for a 7:45 p.m. contest at the World's Only Corn Palace.
