Van Regenmorter recognized as GPAC Defensive Player of the Week

SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Morningside University freshman Kaden Van Regenmorter was named Tuesday as the Week 7 GPAC Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week.

The Western Christian High School grad collected 14 defensive rebounds and six steals in wins over Briar Cliff and Doane last week.

Van Regenmorter is second among the Mustangs this season in defensive rebounds with 50. He also has 15 steals, and also has six blocks.

Van Regenmorter also averaging 13.2 points per game, good for fourth among Morningside scorers.

The Mustangs have two games this week — at 3 p.m. Tuesday against the University of Virgin Islands and at 5 p.m. Wednesday against No. 15 Keiser.
