Mustangs Take on National Fields at Las Vegas Invitational and Collegiate Shootout
LAS VEGAS — Morningside University’s men’s bowling team competed in a pair of highly competitive national events, finishing 40th at both the Glen Carlson Las Vegas Invitational and the Collegiate Shootout.
LAS VEGAS — Morningside University's men's bowling team competed in a pair of highly competitive national events, finishing 40th at both the Glen Carlson Las Vegas Invitational and the Collegiate Shootout.
At the Glen Carlson Las Vegas Invitational, the Mustangs placed 40th out of 62 teams with a total pinfall of 7,616. Brenden Lewis and Chace Mohrhauser led Morningside individually, finishing 94th and 95th, respectively, as both averaged 196 pins per game over the course of the tournament.
The Mustangs followed that performance with another 40th-place finish at the Collegiate Shootout, this time among 61 teams. Morningside totaled 7,855 pins at the event. Michael Kruse III paced the Mustangs individually, placing 97th overall with a 200.4 scoring average.
Morningside returns home and gets a break from competition until late January, when the Mustangs compete in the Eagle Invitational in Belton, Mo.
