Welford, Bruins lead Mustangs to second at Siouxland Invite
ORANGE CITY, Iowa – Morningside University men's golf finished second at the Siouxland Invitational on Tuesday, carding a team score of 879 over three rounds at Sioux Center?s The Ridge and Orange City's Landsmeer Golf Clubs.

The Mustangs trailed only Hastings in the final standings, who came on strong late to claim the team title.
Individually, Dylan Welford and Owen Bruins paced Morningside tying for third place at two strokes over par for a three-round total of 215. Both Mustangs were just two shots behind the medalist from Hastings.
Other notable Morningside finishers included Adam Watkin, who placed seventh at +6, Ariel Lev, who placed no. 20 at +11, and Finn Coull and Darragh McGrath, who tied for no. 24 at +12.
Morningside hits the course again on Sept. 15, competing in the two-day Northwest Iowa National Invitational in Le Mars, Iowa.
