Newcomer of the Year Headlines Morningside Men's Golf GPAC Honors

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference released its 2025-26 All-Conference class today, naming five Morningsiders to honors, including listing Dylan Welford as Newcomer of the Year.

Welford, a freshman, received first team honors alongside junior Ryan Cavanaugh. Welford ranks no. 119 nationally, according to Clippd, with an adjusted scoring average of 72.8 strokes across 30 rounds. He had four top three finishes on the season.

Cavanaugh ranked no. 241 nationally with an adjusted scoring average of 74.2 strokes across 24 rounds. He had one win and three top three finishes this season.

Finn Coull, Darragh McGrath, and Adam Watkin all received honorable mention nods.
