DES MOINES — The Morningside University men's soccer team dropped its season opener Tuesday in a 3-0 loss to Grand View at Cownie Sports Complex.
Morningside took three total shots in the loss, including two in the second half. Elis Olden took two shots, while Tassilo Koerner attempted the other.
The Vikings scored once in the first half, then twice in an eight-minute span during the second half. Tim Teschner took the loss in net for the Mustangs. He collected two saves.
Morningside's next match is at 4 p.m. Saturday against Park at Baker University.
