Mustang men score two in GPAC opener
SIOUX CITY, Iowa – An early Hastings red card gave the Mustangs an advantage in today’s Great Plains Athletic Conference men’s soccer opener, as Jordan Bickel and Tassilo Koerner both scored, handing the Broncos a 2-0 loss this evening.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – An early Hastings red card gave the Mustangs an advantage in today's Great Plains Athletic Conference men's soccer opener, as Jordan Bickel and Tassilo Koerner both scored, handing the Broncos a 2-0 loss this evening.
Bickel put the Mustangs ahead in the 28th minute. Koerner doubled the lead in the 74th minute, finding the net on a free kick from the right side of the field..
Morningside goalkeeper Tim Teschner made one save to secure the shutout, with the Mustangs holding Hastings to just seven shots.
The Mustangs remain at home as the GPAC schedule unfolds in front of them, hosting Briar Cliff at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 24.
