Singles efforts lead to non-conference sweep

Behind that play, head coach Alex Struck's first men's and women's dual victory occurred on the courts of the First Serve Tennis Center. The Mustangs claimed identical 6-1 wins over Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference foe Sterling College.
Sophomores Jil Hellerforth (Luedenscheid, Germany) and Olivia Boudreau (Papillion, Neb.) topped the women each winning their singles and doubles outings. The men had two pairings with similar resumes in freshmen Mikhil Raja (Belvedere Harare, Zimbabwe) and Alexander Castillo (Santiago, Chile) and sophomore Winyou Asavaruangchai (Udoni Thai, Thailand) and junior Jaime Maza Martin (Madrid, Spain).
Morningside's women continue their weekend hosting National Collegiate Athletic Association Division II foe University of Sioux Falls Sunday, Feb. 6. Start time is 5:30 p.m. at First Serve Tennis Center.
