Morningside Falls by 4-3 Margin at Gustavus Adolphus
SAINT PETER, Minn. – Gustavus Adolphus was the next opponent on a busy spring schedule intended to set Morningside up for success as the Great Plains Athletic Conference season of men’s tennis approaches. The Gusties proved to be a formidable opponent, as they handed Morningside a 4-3 loss.

The Mustangs took the lead early securing the doubles point as Marcos Menendez Hervella and Alexis Diaz won in the no. 1 position 6-4 and Santiago Minetti and Gabriel Whiston won 7-6 with a 7-2 tiebreaker.
Morningside gave Gustavus Adolphus a fight as the hosts took the upper hand in singles play. Mathys Arnold picked up a win in the no. 3 spot, winning 6-3 and 6-1, followed closely by Derek Buikema with a 6-4, 4-6, 10-7 win in the no. 6 singles match.
The Mustangs keep their collective foot on the gas, playing no. 18 William Woods and Grand View tomorrow in Des Moines.
