Mustang Men Complete Shutout Weekend
SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. – Morningside capped a long weekend of tennis with another men’s win over Ottawa, with the Mustangs beating the Braves 7-0, marking the Mustangs' second 7-0 victory this weekend.

Mathys Arnold and Jesse Gerth represented the first of Morningside's three 6-1 doubles victories, with Marcos Menendez Hervella and Alexis Diaz and Santiago Minetti and Gabriel Whiston following.
Joao Pedro Pierry Izoldi Costa kept pushing the needle in Morningside's favor, collecting a 6-0, 6-1 victory at no. 5 singles. Menendez Hervella followed, winning the no. 1 match 6-3, 6-3, while Diaz clinched the match 6-3, 6-4.
The Mustangs continued down the line, with Thomas Purrer winning the no. 6 match 6-1, 6-0. Derek Buikema followed with a 6-3, 6-3 victory, and Arnold completed the sweep 6-2, 6-2.
Morningside's next outing comes at the beginning of its spring break trip, as the Mustangs play Tennessee Southern on March 1 on the campus of Bethel University in McKenzie, Tenn.
