MCKENZIE, Tenn. — The Morningside men’s tennis team split a pair of duals Tuesday in Tennessee, defeating Bethel 4-0 before falling 4-1 to No. 17 Huntington.

MCKENZIE, Tenn. — The Morningside men's tennis team split a pair of duals Tuesday in Tennessee, defeating Bethel 4-0 before falling 4-1 to No. 17 Huntington.
In the win over Bethel, Morningside swept all three doubles matches. The No. 1 tandem of Marcos Menendez Hervella and Alexis Diaz earned a 6-4 victory, while Santiago Minetti and Gabriel Whiston won 6-3 at No. 2 doubles. At No. 3 doubles, Mathys Arnold and Jesse Gerth secured a 6-1 win.
In singles play, Menendez and Minetti each earned victories before Diaz clinched the dual with a 6-3, 6-2 win.
Against Huntington, Arnold and Gerth picked up Morningside's lone doubles victory with a 6-4 win at No. 3.
