Morningside Repeats as GPAC Tourney Champions
OMAHA, Neb. – Morningside defended its 2025 Great Plains Athletic Conference Men’s Tennis Tournament title today as it repeated as GPAC Tourney Champs with a 4-0 win over Concordia.
OMAHA, Neb. – Morningside defended its 2025 Great Plains Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Tournament title today as it repeated as GPAC Tourney Champs with a 4-0 win over Concordia.
The Mustangs got the match started with a win of the doubles point, as Mathys Arnold and Jesse Gerth picked up a 6-1 win and Marcos Menendez Hervella and Alexis Diaz clinched the point, 6-3. Santiago Minetti and Gabriel Whiston led 5-3 when their match was called.
Minetti got himself a win in the no. 5 singles match,winning 6-1, 6-2 as Morningside began to roll through singles. Gerth followed with a quick 6-1, 6-2 win in the no. 4 slot, and Menendez Hervella took the title 6-2, 6-2.
Morningside will head to Mobile, Ala., May 12-16 to compete in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Men's Tennis Championship.
