Mustangs take six Top 5 finishes at Dordt Open

SIOUX CENTER, Iowa — The Morningside men's indoor track and field team turned in six Top 5 finishes at the Dordt Open on Saturday.
Theo Moseman and Parker Halder each had silver medal placings, as Moseman was second in the 600-meter race and Halder in the 3,000. Moseman ran the 600 in 1 minute, 22.08 seconds; Halder completed the 3,000 in 9:11.16.
Braden Sonksen turned in a season-best in the 800, as the junior ran his race in 2:00:47. Casey Kruger also placed fifth in 2:04.43, good for 79th fastest nationally.
Lynx Gregoire had a solid day in the 60-meter dash. In the preliminary heats, Gregoire qualified in 7.19 seconds, which was a personal best. He cleared that time in the finals for a new PR, running the 60 final in 7.08 seconds for third place.
The Mustangs' 4x400 relay — run by Kruger, Sonksen, Logan Stowater, and Jaelonni Small — finished in 3:39.81, good for fourth.
