Mustangs struggle against region's best at USD
VERMILLION, S.D. – Morningside’s men’s track and field struggled to rise to the top against some of the region’s top competitors as they competed in the University of South Dakota Early Bird meet. The Mustangs had just two competitors place in the top-20 of their respective events in the meet.
VERMILLION, S.D. – Morningside's men's track and field struggled to rise to the top of some of the region's top competitors as they competed in the University of South Dakota Early Bird meet. The Mustangs had just two competitors place in the top-20 of their respective events in the meet.
David Hernandez was the top finisher and only Morningsider to finish in the top five of an event, as he placed fourth in the 400-meter hurdles. Hernandez' time in the event was 55.51 seconds.
Tyler Janssen took a 17th place finish in the javelin, throwing for a distance of 42.25 meters.
The Mustangs turn their attention to the oval at Elwood Olsen Stadium next, competing in the 58th running of the Sioux City Relays on Friday and Saturday, April 14 and 15.
