Paulsen, Moseman garner silver at Wayne State Classic

WAYNE, Neb. — The Morningside men's track and field team turned in a pair of runner-up finishes and added depth across multiple events Saturday at the Wayne State Wildcat Classic.
Theo Moseman led the way on the track, placing second in the 800 meters in 1:56.18. The junior continued his strong 2026 campaign, positioning himself near the front of the field throughout the race and closing well over the final stretch.
In the field, Luke Paulsen delivered a runner-up finish in the javelin with a throw of 52.75 meters (173-0). The mark continued a consistent season for Paulsen and gave the Mustangs a strong showing outside of the running events.
Morningside added three more Top 5 finishes to round out the day. Cade Johnson placed fifth in the 800 meters in 2:02.78, giving the Mustangs two scorers in the event. Boston Riedemann contributed a fifth-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles in 15.44, while Eein McKinley placed fifth in the 5,000 meters in 16:19.07.
The Mustangs also saw several additional performances just outside the Top 5, highlighting continued depth across sprint and distance groups.
