Mustangs show depth at Sioux City Relays

SIOUX CITY, Iowa — The Morningside men's track and field team put together a balanced two-day performance with multiple Top 8 finishes across sprint, distance and field events at the Sioux City Relays.
Theo Moseman led the Mustangs on the track with a runner-up finish in the 400 meters, clocking a 48.91 to continue his strong outdoor season Moseman also contributed to Morningside's 4x400-meter relay "B" team, which placed sixth in 3 minutes, 23.27 seconds alongside Cade Johnson, Lane Kruger and Cooper Haddix.
In the field, Luke Paulsen delivered another standout performance in the javelin, placing second with a throw of 54.41 meters (178-6). His mark continues to rank among the top throws in the conference this season and gave the Mustangs a strong showing in the throws.
Morningside found additional success in the sprints, where Lane Kruger turned in a pair of Top 5 finishes. The sophomore placed fifth in the 100 meters in 10.88 and followed with another fifth-place finish in the 200 meters in 21.83. Teammate Lynx Gregoire Jr. added an eighth-place finish in the 100 meters with a time of 10.99, while Avery Gregoire just missed the Top 15 in a competitive field.
Boston Riedemann contributed in the hurdles, placing sixth in the 110-meter hurdles in 15.35 to add points for the Mustangs.
In distance events, Parker Halder led the way with a fifth-place finish in the 3,000 steeplechase at 10:29.49. Eein McKinley added a ninth-place finish in the 10,000-meter race with a time of 32:38.14.
