Mustangs remain unbeaten in conference with 3-0 win

SALINA, Kan. – For the second straight night, the Mustangs men's volleyball program picked up a conference sweep, this time defeating Kansas Wesleyan 25-17, 25-18, 25-19 Saturday in Salina.
The Mustangs (4-3, 3-0) remained unbeaten in conference play with the win. Consistency was key Saturday, as Morningside tallied 13, 13, and 11 kills while tallying five or less errors in each set.
Defensively, Morningside forced Kansas Wesleyan into a negative attacking percentage in the first set, and a .024 percentage for the match. Morningside, meanwhile, hit .321 in the match.
Natan Alves and Kahakai Kahoiwai led the Mustang attack, tallying 13 and 12 kills respectively. Getting the offense rolling was Jacob DePauw, as he recorded 31 assists. Owen Anderson led the defense with 11 digs. Alves helped with eight digs as well.
On a three-match win streak, the Mustangs are back in action Friday at Park.
